How to Install a Bed Bridge: Video Walkthrough
Under a minute, no tools. Watch exactly where the straps go, then follow the same 3 steps on your own bed.
The full install, start to finish
What you need
Two mattresses pushed against each other (31 to 47 inches wide each), the Bedbinder Deluxe, and a fitted sheet sized for both combined. That's it. No tools, no tape, no extra parts.
The same 3 steps, if you'd rather read them
Lay it over the middle
Place the Bedbinder flat over the spot where your two mattresses meet. Center it so it covers both edges evenly.
Pull the straps underneath
Pull the straps under both mattresses so they wrap securely around each one.
Click the buckles shut
Click the buckles together under the mattresses and pull tight. Put your fitted sheet back on. Done. One smooth bed.

Place the Bedbinder flat over the spot where your two mattresses meet, centered so it covers both edges evenly.
Pull the straps underneath
Pull the straps under both mattresses so they wrap all the way around and come back up on the other side.
Click the buckles shut
Click the buckles together under the mattresses and pull tight until both mattresses sit firmly against each other. Put the fitted sheet back on. Done.
Tips for the best result
Tighten until the drift stops, then stop. The Bedbinder works by pulling the mattresses together enough that they can't drift apart anymore. Once that stops, it's tight enough. Don't overtighten: the mattresses don't need to be compressed against each other, and pulling harder than that can dig into the side of the mattress over time.
Use the right sheet size. A fitted sheet that's too small will pop loose overnight. Measure both mattresses combined before buying one.
Keep the bed frames close together. The Bedbinder holds the mattresses together, but the frames still need to sit close to each other. Push them against a wall, or add furniture pads under the legs on a slick floor.
Check it once a month. The Bedbinder stays in place for months. Even so, lift the sheet once a month and check the buckles. Loosened a bit? Pull them tight again. Takes about ten seconds.
Frequently asked questions about installation
How long does it take to install a bed bridge?
Under a minute for most people, closer to 3 minutes the first time. Lay the Bedbinder over the middle, pull the straps under both mattresses, and click the buckles shut.
Do I need any tools to install it?
No. The Bedbinder Deluxe installs entirely by hand. No screwdriver, no drill, nothing to assemble.
Can I install it alone, or do I need help?
One person can install it alone. It's light and easy to handle. Having a second person can make pulling the straps tight slightly faster, but it isn't necessary.
What if the straps feel loose after a few weeks?
Lift the fitted sheet once a month and check the buckles. If they've loosened, pull them tight again. It takes about ten seconds and the Bedbinder stays in place for months at a time.
