How do you keep split king mattresses from separating?
Hold the two Twin XL mattresses to each other, because on a split king nothing else does. The Bedbinder Deluxe lies across both mattresses, and three straps buckle underneath. So the gap can't open, and if only the head of your side moves, you can still raise it.

How to put the bed bridge on your split king

Push the two Twin XL mattresses as close together as you can. Lay the Bedbinder across the bed on the flat part between the hinge points: straps on one side, buckles on the other.

Buckle up and tuck under
Thread the straps through the buckles and pull them snug. Not too tight: once the mattresses can't move apart, it's right. Then tuck the buckles under the mattress.

Make the bed as one bed: a mattress pad and one King fitted sheet over both, or a split-head King sheet if the heads move on their own. In the first week the band can settle a little, so check it then and tighten the straps a touch if needed.
Will it fit my split king?
Only the width and the height matter: 55 to 79 inches (140 to 200 cm) wide in total, with mattresses 6 to 14 inches (15 to 35 cm) thick. Two Twin XLs side by side are king size, so a split king fits. Lower both sides flat before you put it on. If only the head moves, place it a little lower, on the flat part between the hinge points. If the head and the foot both move, we don't recommend it.

How do you fill the gap between split king mattresses?
