Where my knowledge comes from
It started in a hotel room. A romantic weekend, one double bed booked, and under the fitted sheet lay two separate mattresses. They drifted apart all night.
Back home I went looking. Bed shops, department stores, online. Nobody got further than "make the bed up more tightly" or a foam wedge. And a wedge only fills the gap, it does not hold the mattresses.
So I built it myself. Not as an idea on paper, but as a product that had to be manufactured. In the years since I have spent a lot of time with bed manufacturers: how mattresses are constructed, which covers are slippery and which are not, why a box spring behaves differently from a slatted base.
That is where my knowledge comes from. Not from a course, but from a problem I had myself and had to solve myself.
How I write about this
I sell a product, and you will notice that while reading. But I write here just as plainly about when you do not need the Bedbinder.
If both the head and foot end of your adjustable bed move, the 80 cm version is not suitable. If there is a gap while your mattresses otherwise sit still, a ten euro foam wedge is enough.
That sits on the product page, not in the small print. Selling a solution to someone it will not help only produces a return and a customer you have lost.
