The foam wedge approach
A vertical bed bridge is a strip of foam shaped like a long wedge. You press it into the gap between two mattresses. It fills the gap visually and costs between 10 and 30 euros.
The problem: foam compresses under body weight. After a few weeks, the wedge sinks and you feel a dip where the gap used to be. The mattresses still slide apart because the foam has no grip. On adjustable beds, the wedge pops out when you raise the head or foot section.
A foam wedge is not a bed bridge. It is a gap filler. It treats the symptom, not the cause.
